Koko is such a loving little girl …. she loves to be close to her humans.
She loves to give lots of kisses. She also loves to be on your lap or very close to you and will turn over so her belly can be rubbed.

She is very good with little children and protective of babies as well, but will try and give them kisses, though she will stop if you tell her to stop kisses.

She sleeps well in her crate at night. In the morning she will give a few little barks to tell you it is time to let her out. She will come into our bed and snuggle under the blankets if you want that extra 30-45 minute sleep-in but will need to go to the toilet first. She is house trained but definitely would be ideal to have a doggy door as accidents will happen if she cannot quickly go outside.

She has settled in well with her foster brother, Hugo, a French Bulldog (she was cautious in the beginning and there were a few barks and couple of nips) but after 2 days she was fine with him.

Koko loves going for walks but if she gets the scent of a cat she switches to “Hunter Koko”. She walks very well on a footpath without a problem on the lead, it is a walk on the grass that brings on “Hunter Koko”.  She is a bit cautious when meeting other dogs on her walk and tends to bark and lung at them. However if she is picked up she will stop both immediately.

She is very good to come if her name is called but when she is in “Hunter Koko” mode that training goes out the window.  A bit of time with training on lead and general training would definitely fix that problem.

She is a little less trusting of men but has bonded well with my husband, son & grandson.  She does not like loud voices or noises and will get a bit anxious.  Normally only takes a little pat and reassurance then she is ok. She started off having me as her “favourite human” but I work part-time so her allegiance has shifted to my Hubby who is home most of the time with her.

She gets very excited when I come home from work or if we have gone out.  Generally she has one family member at home though.

Koko needs a  home with a big grassed yard or gardens so she can sniff around and hunt lizards. She has lots of energy so loves to run around outside.  She is a bit of an escape artist so a secure yard is a definite for this little sweetie.

She does like to give a few barks when someone knocks on the door or when she hears neighbours dogs barking but she is very responsive when asked to stop. Being picked up so she feels secure also halts any barking straight away.

Koko is desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated including Pro Heart annual vaccination, Bravecto and worming, fully vet checked as per our Policy.
