MYRTLE – LONG HAIR BLACK AND TAN FEMALE – 4 YRS – DOB 01/11/17 *ON TRIAL*
LOCATION: DOOLANDELLA – BRISBANE WEST
*Available for meet and greet by appointment*
Myrtle is an extremely loving 4-year-old long hair dachshund with a very gentle nature wanting the love from her owners. Myrtle will follow you from room to room as she wants to be close with you and is interested in seeing what you are doing. She is calm when meeting strangers and is happy to be picked up. She would be great with children and will enjoy being patted. She came from an environment where she was with many other dogs and has accepted being with the 2 dogs of her foster carrier so she can tolerate other dogs.
She responds well to commands and has no food aggression. She likes to jump up onto beds but will get down when told to do so. Myrtle is house trained as long as she has access to outside as she needs it, she is doggie door trained.
Myrtle does not bark excessively however is an excellent guard dog and will bark when someone comes to the door. She loves her walks each morning and does not show fear when coming across larger dogs. Myrtle is an energetic dog and would need the frequent walks to continue (currently she is walked 5 days a week). She is crate trained and sleeps in a crate every night after receiving her treat when going to bed.
Myrtle loves sitting next to her owners both male and female on the lounge and will sleep happily next to you. She just wants to be loved and get reassuring pats she craves for. She does us a ramp when available but will jump onto a lounge or bed if not available.
Myrtle can go with young responsible and gentle children and definitively another dachshund buddy!
