As a specialised charity registered in Australia, Devoted to Dachshunds Rescue (D2DR) is fully committed to the safe rescue and rehoming of dachshunds. We stand firm in the belief that all animals, and especially our beloved dachshunds, merit a high-quality life. Thus, we make every effort to find loving homes for the dogs placed in our care.

Each dachshund we assist benefits from a comprehensive veterinary examination, and we address any existing health or behavioural issues to enhance their chances of a successful adoption. We recognise that life can be unpredictable, and our passion is to be there for dachshunds when those unexpected moments occur.

Providing our rescue and rehoming services at no cost, we offer a compassionate haven for dachshund owners in need. Our team of devoted volunteers and foster carers pledge to guide you through every step of the process, ensuring your cherished pet finds a warm and loving forever home.

Since our establishment in 2015, our Committee of Management, who collectively own 23 dachshunds – mostly rescues or rehomes – have cultivated a wealth of experience and knowledge. This expertise underscores our unwavering devotion to dachshunds.
