Cookie - the sweetest little girl looking for her best friend
Quick facts: Dappled chocolate, short hair, female dachshund who is 5 , weight 6.7kg
About:
Cookie is the sweetest dog who likes a quiet environment with lots of cuddles and reassurance. She was rescued from an unethical breeder and consequently is a bit anxious, not too keen on loud noises or sudden movements. However, once she knows you, she is absolutely up for a game and loves to wrestle with canine friends.
Cookie is highly intelligent and a little cautious, she answers to her name, "come" and "outside" but hasn't learnt "sit". She is mostly toilet trained, just having the occasional inside accident when in a new environment. She loves burying herself in a fluffy blanket and prefers to sleep against her humans at night - thank you very much. Cookie will join in with barking but doesn't tend to initiate; walks well on a lead if slightly haphazardly in direction; loves wrestling and running but equally happy to sit on the couch to join you in a good book.
Given her background, she takes time to come out of her shell and warm up to companions, both canine and human, but once she knows you're going to take care of her, she is an exceptionally loving and rewarding dog with the prettiest face and kindest eyes.
Her perfect family could be of any age, she is comfortable with kids and other dog breeds. She would do better in a quiet household, where quiet activities rather than boisterous loud games prevail. She would also benefit from a canine friend though probably one that is older or just lazy and likes to sunbake too.
Daily care:
Fed twice a day: currently on Optimum small dog chicken dry food and Prime100 loaf but isn't fussy
