About Toby & Crumb

Toby is a sensible and cautious dachshund who loves his sister. His bright, loyal nature makes him a delightful companion.

Crumb is wild and brave, an independent fearless hunter who loves cuddles when she is not on a hunt.

Personality Highlights

Toby is a quick learner who responds instantly to his name and the come & “sit” command, especially when treats are involved! Toby is always by your side, not exploring too far without his humans or sister.

Crumb can be Miss Independent and enjoys exploring the yard on her own, she also loves snuggling on the couch and sleeping in bed with her humans. Crumb loves any toy with a squeaker!

Current Training Progress

House Training: They are well on their way to being fully house trained, reliably using the yard during daytime hours. Still needs regularly outings to remind them outside for toileting. The two are crate trained and sleep well together at night.

Lead Skills: Enjoy walking and car rides and working hard at learning to reduce pulling during walks due to their excitement.

Social Skills: Making steady progress in meeting new people. Toby is initially cautious but warms up with patience and treats. Crumb is friends with anyone and everyone. Currently working on reactions to other dogs during outings and learning incredibly well

Daily Care

Exercise: Enjoys active playtime and regular short walks.

Sleep: Settles well through the night when sleeping with humans or in their crate.

Behaviour: No food or toy aggression, shares well with other dogs. Crumb will chase toads at night (or daytime if they are out) and cannot been left unsupervised if there are toads in the area.
