Meet Donald (Donny): Your Future Best Friend!
Donald is a sweet, clever little dachshund who is ready to find his perfect forever family! At 4 years old this November, this handsome 9 kg, black-and-tan smooth-coated mini is the ultimate mix of an independent explorer and a total cuddle bug. He is currently thriving in his foster home with a foster brother and sister, proving just how adaptable, sweet, and eager to please he truly is.
Why You’ll Fall in Love with Donny
· Smart as a whip: Donny is incredibly bright! He loves routines and picks up on consistent training quickly especially if you have a tasty treat in your hand.
· The perfect balance: He is happy doing his own thing, exploring the yard, or chilling in his crate. But the second you're ready for affection, he’s right there soaking up all the love and attention.
· Playtime partner: He absolutely adores his toys, and his absolute favourite thing is when you join in on the fun.
· A friend to all humans: Donny warms up to new faces almost instantly, including kids!
· Potty training: He is doing fantastic and is almost fully house-trained! He happily uses the yard, though he just needs a little extra encouragement and a pep talk on rainy days.
· Out and about: Donny lives for car rides and walks! He can get a little excited on the leash and likes to take charge, so he's working on managing his enthusiasm.
· Doggy social skills: When meeting new dogs, Donny can feel a bit shy or nervous at first, which can cause him to react defensively. However, with a patient introduction and a little support, he warms up beautifully. He shares his space and toys wonderfully with dogs he knows and trusts!
Donny’s Ideal Home
