Meet Eddy

Hi everyone, I’m Eddy! I’m a gorgeous bundle of fun, cuddles and personality, and I’m looking for my forever home. If you’re looking for a smart, playful, cuddly dachshund who will keep you entertained and give you plenty of love, I might just be your boy

I’m a clever boy who loves toys, playing and, most importantly, lots and lots of your time and attention. I really enjoy being around my people and I’m happiest when I’m included in family life. I absolutely love chasing the ball – Foster Mom got an automatic thrower which is lots and lots of fun.

I’m house trained and use my doggy door day and night, so I’ve got that part all sorted! I love playing with my dachshund housemates and enjoy my daily walks. I can be pretty excited when we first head out, but once I settle into my walk, I’m a good boy and enjoy exploring. I’m also very happy to meet people while out and about.

I’m still getting used to car rides, so this is something my new family will need to continue working on with me.

I’m currently doing basic obedience training, and I’m really enjoying it and doing well. My training should continue because I’m a very intelligent boy who loves learning. I’m also at an age where I can sometimes test the boundaries (just a baby, really!), so an experienced dachshund family who understands our clever little ways would be ideal! 😉

When I first meet people in my home, I can be a little guarded, so I need people who will give me some space and let me approach them in my own time. Once I’ve had a chance to feel comfortable, I warm up beautifully.

I have slight separation anxiety, but I do settle after a few minutes. I could happily live with another friendly dachshund, or I could be your one and only if you were around more often than not.
