Meet Fabulous Frankie – Your Loyal Little Shadow
Frankie is a sweet and spirited dachshund with a heart full of love and loyalty. He's especially drawn to the men in his life and is looking for a forever home where he can thrive with a strong male presence. Frankie has all the charm of a classic dachshund – curious, playful, independent, and wonderfully affectionate once he feels safe.
Frankie’s Ideal Home:
· Home suggested – Frankie bonds deeply with male carers and feels most secure with a strong, calm male figure.
· Mature teens-only home (12+) – Frankie is best suited to a peaceful, mature environment where he can relax and feel at ease.
· Companion dog welcome – He benefits from the calm presence of another small breed dog, especially one of a similar size.
· Someone home most of the time – He loves company and would suit someone retired or working from home.
· Secure backyard – He enjoys exploring the garden and soaking up the sun.
Frankie’s Personality:
· Deeply loyal – A true little shadow to his favourite person.
· Affectionate and cuddly – Loves curling up for pats and snuggles.
· Independent – Also enjoys his own space and will let you know when he needs some downtime.
· Crate trained – Sleeps soundly through the night.
· Adventurous – Enjoys car rides, going for walks, and playing with his toys.
· Well-mannered at mealtimes – Eats calmly and has a gentle mouth when taking treats.
What to Know:
· Frankie can be a little unsure around unfamiliar women, but with time and understanding, he learns to settle.
· He prefers a quiet, child-free home – energetic environments can overwhelm him.
· Like many dachshunds, he can be vocal at times – especially with new people or larger dogs.
· Frankie has some mild separation anxiety but has improved significantly with the support of calm canine companions.
· He has a sensitive tummy and is thriving on a primarily raw diet with limited dry – and he loves his twice-weekly sardine treat!
· His preferred sleeping is with his foster parents tucked up in bed - especially on cold Winter nights
Frankie is a truly special little dog who, in the right home, will offer endless devotion, companionship, and love. If you're a calm, patient, and dog-savvy person looking for a loyal best friend, Frankie just might be the one for you.
