If you’re looking for a tiny, affectionate, slightly silly dachshund, but seriously gorgeous boy who loves blankets, swimming, zoomies, and being your loyal little shadow, I might just be your guy. After all… every home deserves a Goose.
I may only weigh 5kg, but don’t let my tiny size fool you. Like all good dachshunds, I firmly believe I’m at least the size of a German Shepherd in spirit. I am little guy with a big personality once I am comfortable!

My favourite hobby is burrowing under the blankets in the human bed. If there’s adoon nearby, you can safely assume I’m already underneath it, sleeping like a tiny sausage- shaped hot water bottle. I sleep through the night like a champion and take my bedtime snuggles very seriously. I am also trained to sleep in my own bed if I must!

I love swimming! Apparently, I’m actually quite good at it too – maybe that’s why I am called Goose!. Once I’m in the water it’s a bit tricky convincing me it’s time to get out. What can I say? I’m a talented little aquatic sausage.
I’m a clever boy tool. I can sit, shake, and drop on command, especially if snacks are involved. I walk nicely on my lead and enjoy my adventures out and about.

When I first meet new people, I can be a little shy – I just like to take a minute to assess the situation. If you approach me slowly and kindly, I’ll soon decide you’re perfectly acceptable and allow pats and cuddles.

I enjoy making doggy friends my own size, especially when we are introduced slowly. Once I’m comfortable, the zoomies usually appear and that’s when the real fun begins.
I’ve also previously stayed with some cats. There were three of them and honestly… they weren’t that interesting, so I mostly ignored them. I am ok with children over 6 who are respectful of us little guys.
Car rides are great fun too. I even have my own special car seat, which makes me feel very important while I supervise the journey.

Now, I should mention that I do have one very important job. As a professional dachshund security guard, I take it upon myself to announce when strangers approach the house. My warning bark is very impressive for someone my size.
Sometimes if dogs get a little too close in busy places like outdoor cafés I might have a bit to say about it – personal space is important, after all. On normal walks though, I’m usually quite relaxed.

I’m an indoor kind of guy. I love being close to my humans and living the cosy life. Except if you are in the pool – then I must jump in and join the fun!
Thunder and lightning make me a little unsure, but I cope well with a bit of reassurance. I’m also a polite gentleman when it comes to food and toys – no guarding or grumpiness from me. And more importantly, I am house trained and love a small garden to sniff; hunt and sun bake!

I really do not like being left alone and can be vocal about this, but if I have some furry friends and not left for long periods, I’m OK!
