About Hank
Hank is an intelligent and playful dachshund who combines independence with affection. His bright, curious nature makes him a delightful companion, and he's already shown tremendous progress in his foster home alongside four dachshund sisters, a dachshund brother and a bull arab brother.
Personality Highlights
Hank is a loving addition to any household, he knows basic commands like sit & wait. He loves to snuggle on the couch in a blankee with you, or is happy to sit on his own (on the couch of course). He loves to help with the gardening, He loves to play in the yard with the other furkids, but he doesn’t stray too far away, always keeping you in his sights. If allowed he prefers to sleep under the blankets in bed with you
Current Training Progress
 House Training: Hank is house trained & regularly takes himself out through the doggy door to toilet. At night he will wake you up if he needs to go out
 Lead Skills: Enjoys walks and car rides, no problems there
 Social Skills: Loves everybody, once introduced loves children, he will bark at strangers but quickly settles down once he is familiar with them.
Daily Care
 Diet: Twice a day feeds; consisting of cooked chicken or other mince, mixed with rice & veggies, dry biscuits offered as well at feed time
 Exercise: Enjoys active playtime or just to go for a walk with his human.
 Sleep: Settles well through the night when sleeping with family
 Behaviour: No food or toy aggression, shares well with other dogs, does get a bit possessive with his person, but it is easily corrected.
Hank would flourish in a home that offers:
 A home with children
 Preferably somewhere where he is not left alone for long periods
 Canine companionship, as he enjoys the company of other dogs
 A secure yard with a spot for sunbaking, exercise and bathroom breaks
