I am full of beans, and I’m told I’ve got the liveliness of an Energizer Bunny! I love to run laps around the house (and the yard, and the couch…) until I’m ready for a good nap snuggled up beside my human. When I’m not zooming around, you’ll find me curled up under the blankets — that’s my favourite place to snooze.
I’ll be honest — I don’t love being left alone. I can get a bit anxious when my people go out, but having my foster brother Theo around really helps. I’d love a forever home where I have another furry friend for company, or a family who’s home a lot of the time.
My Personality
I’m a sweet, playful girl who loves everyone I meet! I rarely bark, but I’m full of curiosity and joy. I’ve met a toddler once — I wasn’t quite sure what to think, so I barked a little, but I wasn’t aggressive. I’m still learning! I love playing with other dogs, and I even enjoy baths and showers. Oh, and a word of warning — stuffed toys and squeakers don’t last long with me. I’m a professional “squeakerectomy” surgeon.
I’m getting really good with my toileting — I use the doggy door like a pro and usually take myself outside when I need to go. Sometimes at night I still make a little mistake, but I’m improving every day. I adore spending time in the yard, especially sunbathing or collecting treasures (sticks are my favourite — and yes, I’ll bring them inside to show you!). Rain and storms don’t bother me one bit; I think they’re fun to watch from under the patio.
During the day I nap wherever you are, and at night I love to burrow under the covers. I’ll even take myself out for a midnight toilet break if I need to — I’m an independent little lady like that.
Training & Manners
I’m a clever girl and eager to please.
 Toileting: I mostly take myself outside, but I still get reminders before bedtime.
 Lead skills: I’m a bit excitable and might pull at first, but I always check that you’re still walking with me.
 Social skills: I greet everyone with lots of enthusiasm (and maybe a few jumps), so small kids might need a little space.
 Door manners: When you’re leaving, I might try to follow, but I’ll stop as soon as you call my name — I just don’t want to miss out on the fun!
