Our Story Mama & Frankie, a Bonded Pair Looking for Our Forever Home 

Hi, we’re Mama and Frankie two little anxious, mischievous and loving dogs who have bonded whilst in foster care that now look to each other for support and play.

About Mama

I’m a 7 year old silver dapple miniature dachshund, just 5kg, with one blue eye and one brown eye. I’m a sensitive soul who wants nothing more than to be someone’s centre of attention. I get anxious when left alone, so I really need someone who can be with me most of the time.

I’ve lived happily with other small dogs in foster care and having a calm, friendly companion (like Frankie) helps me feel safe. I’m on a raw diet that I love and I’ll chase a ball from sunrise to sunset. I sleep with my people and will need a home that welcomes me into the bed as that’s where I feel safest.

I can be reactive toward other dogs on walks and may bite if startled while being carried but I calm quickly and respond well to gentle guidance. I do not like young children and can’t live with them. I’ve also recovered beautifully from IVDD surgery but I must avoid jumping off furniture.

I come desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, flea/tick treated and vet‑checked.

 About Frankie

I’m Frankie a sweet, 3.5 year old spirited little dachshund boy with a huge heart and a deep loyalty to my favourite person. I tend to bond most strongly with a calm, confident male figure and I thrive in a peaceful home with mature teens or adults only.

I love having another small dog around (Mama is perfect for me) and I feel safest when someone is home most of the time. I’m crate trained, well‑mannered at mealtimes and I adore car rides, toys, and snuggles. I can be unsure around unfamiliar women at first but with patience, I warm up beautifully.

I’m vocal like many dachshunds, especially with new people or big dogs and I have a sensitive tummy so I do best on a mostly raw diet with limited dry food. My favourite treat is sardines twice a week. I sleep in my crate but may appear in my foster parent’s bed on a cold night. 

I’ve had corrective surgery for Pes Varus (bow legs) and have fully recovered with no ongoing issues.

I come desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked.

We understand each other’s quirks, rhythms, and needs. We play together, rest together and navigate the world better as a team.

Able to be home most of the time
