Maverick is the lovable “chunky monkey” of the two — a gentle, happy boy who thrives on being close to his people. He’ll happily follow you from room to room just to see what you’re up to. Maverick adores toys of all kinds and plays fetch with great enthusiasm. He’s easy-going, social with other dogs, and has excellent manners both at home and on walks. Not a cat fan, but a big fan of cuddles, Maverick is known to softly moan with pleasure when he’s enjoying affection. He barks only when warranted and is a relaxed, well-rounded companion.

Penny may be small, but she’s full of confidence and quiet charm. She knows how to hold her own when toys are involved or when play gets a little boisterous, yet her true love is human attention. Penny is calm, gentle, and affectionate, often nudging your hand for extra pats and scratches. She enjoys playing with other dogs but prefers being close to her people. Penny walks beautifully on lead, is well behaved, and has a serene presence that balances Maverick perfectly.

Together, Maverick and Penny are inseparable. They love car rides, walk well as a team, and often sleep or rest side by side. Like most dachshunds, they’ll happily alert bark to let you know when someone’s around — no doorbell required.

This bonded pair is looking for a loving home that can offer them time, companionship, and inclusion in daily life.
