I am a sweet, loving little senior dachshund hoping to find my forever home.

If you can offer patience, gentleness, safety and endless cuddles, I may be the little soul your home has been waiting for. I can’t wait to meet the person who will call me theirs.

My Story
I came into the care of Devoted 2 Dachshunds Rescue in January 2025, when my family made the heart wrenching decision to surrender me to D2DR due to ill health of children in thier family.

All about me
· I’m gentle, affectionate, and happiest curled up beside someone I trust. 
· I like to warn of any threat to my people and try to protect them when I see other dogs or strangers.
· I get along beautifully with other dachshunds. I enjoy their company and love a bit of playtime with them. I share well with my dachshund foster sister and have no food or toy aggression. 
· House Trained: Fully house trained but (as I am getting on in age now) I need to go out often and I need quick access to yard.
· Out & About: I love my walks and I am fabulous on a lead but do bark at dogs on walks.

· Social Skills: I’m calm at home and follow will follow you everywhere, as long as I cannot see the street.

· Sleep: I settle beautifully early at night snuggled into my bed or, if you let me, curled
up with you as I’m an expert burrower and love getting right down under the sheets.· Loud noises and storms scare me terribly, so I really need to be with you when this happens.

· I am a great watch dog who does not like strangers who come into my home and can lunge at them, but when properly introduced, I am fine.

My Ideal Home
· Due to my age I would prefer a single-level home with no stairs. Ramps or soft steps a must for couches or beds or for a couple of steps.

· I’d flourish in a calm, loving environment in a quiet family with older children (8+) although my foster mum had lots of little (-6yrs) children who were at our house nearly every day but they got a bit loud so I would hide under the bed. 
· A secure yard for exploring would be great as I love rolling on the grass. Also, I can be a bit of a Houdini if given the opportunity. 
· I would love to be either your only dog if you were home all the time, but really like a dachshund sibling on the quieter side.

My Health· Generally I have good health and on no ongoing medications
· I have tablets to take for my anxiety when storms or loud noises are happening
· Desexed, Microchipped, Fully vaccinated, Flea & tick treated, Vet checked
