Meet Scooby – Your Super-Cute, 5kg Pocket Rocket!

2.5-Year-Old Black, Short-Haired Male Dachshund | 5kg of Love and Personality!

Hi everyone, my name is Scooby, and I might be a little guy, but I have a BIG heart and so much love to give!

I'm a sweet, playful and slightly shy little Dachshund who is learning that the world is full of wonderful things, kind humans and exciting adventures. I'm still building my confidence, but with a little patience, gentle encouragement and a few tasty treats, you'll see my beautiful personality begin to shine.

I've been making great progress in my foster home, where I live with two other Dachshunds – a boy and a girl. I've started initiating playtime with my furry friends, and I'm discovering just how much fun it can be to have canine company!

I'm a curious little fellow who enjoys exploring the yard and doing my own thing sometimes. But don't let my independent streak fool you – I really do love being close to my humans! Following you around the house? Absolutely! Keeping you company? Of course! Sneaking in extra snuggles whenever the opportunity arises? Now you're talking!

I'm learning my commands and respond beautifully to my name (and even a couple of fun nicknames!). I'm a clever little chap, and with someone who helps me feel safe and confident, I'm sure I'll continue to blossom.

  • A little lovebug: I adore being around my people and love a good cuddle.
  • Playful and curious: I enjoy exploring, playing with my doggy friends and discovering new things.
  • A walking companion: I enjoy my walks, walk nicely on the lead and love car rides.
  • A good nighttime sleeper: I settle beautifully overnight when I'm close to my family.
  • A foodie at heart: I love my meals and happily accept treats, even when other dogs are around. I am fed separately at mealtimes.
  • A work in progress: I'm learning to trust new people and gain confidence every day.

I'm still a little shy when meeting new people, particularly men. I don't show aggression, but I can feel unsure, so I'll need my new family to take things slowly and let me approach new experiences at my own pace. Kindness, patience and reassurance go a long way with me. Once I start feeling comfortable, you'll see more of the loving little companion I am.

I'm also making good progress with my toilet training. I reliably use the yard during the day and have been doing wonderfully overnight without accidents. I'll need a little help and consistency as I settle into my forever home.

I'm happy to sleep in my own bed beside you, although if you happen to invite me up for a cuddle, I'm certainly not going to complain!

I'd love a family who understands that confidence takes time and that the best friendships are built on trust.

My ideal home would offer:

Patient, gentle humans who will continue helping me build confidence around new people.

Another friendly dog or two to keep me company and enjoy some playtime with.

A secure yard where I can explore, play and take care of my bathroom business.

Regular walks, adventures and plenty of opportunities to enjoy life.

Lots of love, reassurance, routine and, naturally, snuggles!

I'm looking for a family who will celebrate my little milestones and give me the time I need to feel safe. In return, I promise to bring plenty of love, playful moments and Dachshund-sized devotion into your life.

I'm desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, flea and tick treated, wormed and veterinary checked. I'm ready to start my next chapter with a family of my very own!
