Hi, my name is Snoopy, and I’m a sweet, gentle little dachshund who is learning that the world can be a pretty wonderful place! 🥰

I’m an eager-to-please boy who has a lovely balance of independence and affection. I’m happy doing my own thing, but I also adore spending time with my humans and soaking up plenty of cuddles. I’m a quiet, well-mannered little man who adapts beautifully to household routines.

Since arriving in foster care, I’ve made tremendous progress living alongside two fellow dachshunds. I’m a quiet little guy who loves my home comforts, predictable routines and knowing what’s happening next. I’m a big fan of the simple things in life!

Sunbaking – finding the perfect sunny spot for a good recharge is one of my favourite activities. Naptime – I’m an excellent sleeper and happily take myself off to bed when it’s time to settle down. Tuck me in and I’m ready for a long, snuggly sleep! Couch cuddles – I love getting cosy with my humans, but I’m also perfectly happy having a snooze in my own bed. Walkies and car rides – I love getting out and about and exploring with my family. Welcome-home dancing – when my humans come home, I’m very excited to see them and will greet them with the cutest little dances and plenty of sweet kisses!

I understand that sometimes my family needs to go out for the day, and I’m very happy to relax and wait patiently for them to return. I really thrive when I know what to expect and when my days have a nice, predictable routine.

I can be quite nervous and unsure when meeting new people, and I can also feel apprehensive around unfamiliar dogs. I need introductions to be slow, calm and gentle so I have time to work out that everything is okay.

Once I feel comfortable, you’ll see a very different Snoopy emerge — a loyal, affectionate little companion who really wants to please his people. Positive praise works wonderfully with me, and I love knowing when I’ve done something right!

I’ve already achieved so much in foster care, but I’m still working on building my confidence. I am completely house trained and reliably use the yard during the day. After my final toilet trip in the evening, I settle beautifully for the night. Lead Skills: I absolutely LOVE my walks! I can get a little excited and pull on the lead, so I’m continuing to work on my lead manners. Other dogs still tend to make me nervous

New people can initially make me scared, but with patience, a gentle approach and time to settle, I become much more comfortable.

I’m making steady progress with my reactions to unfamiliar dogs, particularly when out and about. Calm, controlled introductions are important for me, and I’ll need a family who understands that building friendships takes time. I’m fed separately from the other dogs, although I’m very happy to take treats alongside my foster friends.

At night, I’m an absolute superstar. I happily take myself off to bed and settle through the night — preferably somewhere warm and cosy!

I’m looking for a family who will understand that confidence takes time and who will allow me to settle into my new world at my own pace.

My ideal home will offer patient, kind and understanding humans who will continue my confidence-building journey. A calm and structured environment with predictable routines. Gentle, controlled introductions to new people and dogs. A secure yard where I can safely enjoy some outdoor time. Positive reinforcement, encouragement and lots of praise. Patience while I get to know new people and understand that I’m safe

I don’t need someone to change who I am — I just need someone who will give me the time and patience to show them just how wonderful I am.

Once I trust you, I’ll be your loyal little shadow, your couch companion, your sunshine-loving nap buddy and the happiest boy to see you walk through the door.
