The brave little red with the softest heart
Smooth Hair Dachshund | 11 months old

My date of birth is the 12 April 2025

I may only be small, but my little life has already been quite a journey.

Earlier this year I had a very scary start and spent time in ICU. It was a big battle for such a tiny boy, but everyone tells me I was incredibly brave. Somehow, with a lot of love and care around me, I found my strength again.

Now I’m healthy, happy, and making up for lost time the best way a young dachshund knows how with joyful zoomies, playful moments, and long, cozy naps after a big day of being adorable.

I’m 11 months old, still full of that young puppy sparkle, but I also have a gentle calmness about me. I don’t need to be the centre of attention every moment. I’m happiest simply knowing my humans are nearby pottering around the yard, playing with my toys, or curling up somewhere warm while keeping a quiet eye on the people I love.

Right now I live with my foster sisters, and oh how I adore them. We chase each other through the yard like little red rockets, tumble and wrestle, and when the excitement fades we curl up together in a warm pile of sleepy sausages. Because of this, I would truly love a home with another friendly dog to share life with.

I’ll be honest with you though being alone for long periods can make my little heart feel unsure. I’ve been through a lot for such a young boy, and knowing someone is close helps me feel safe in the world. With patience, kindness and time, my confidence will keep growing.

What I give in return is something very special.

A loyal little shadow.
A playful spirit.
A gentle soul who simply wants to love and be loved.

A few things about me:

• I’m toilet trained (unless I get a little too excited and haven’t been outside recently)
• I’m learning my lead manners sometimes the world is just too exciting!
• I’m very friendly with everyone I meet
• I adore other dogs
• I’m affectionate, playful and deeply loyal

My dream home would be:

• A home where someone is around most of the time
• A friendly dog companion to share adventures with
• A safe yard for zoomies and sunshine naps
• A patient, loving family to keep helping my confidence grow

I may only be a little dachshund, but I have already shown how strong my heart can be.

Now all I’m searching for
is a family to call my own.

A place where I can run, play, nap in the sunshine
and quietly love my people with my whole little heart.
