Tessie is a sweet-natured little girl with the perfect mix of calm and playful. She’s fond of naps, but don’t be fooled—she’s just as likely to instigate a play fight with her brother or her adult foster dachshund sibling!

Tessie is also a bit of a climber and has no problem hopping on the couch without a ramp (when not supervised), often choosing to curl up and sleep right on your chest.

  • Big chewer—needs plenty of toys (and shoes kept safely away!).
  • Loves chasing and barking at cats but is not aggressive.
  • Smart girl—knows how to go outside through the doggy door (still learning how to get back in!).
  • Toilet training going well—uses pads and goes outside with minimal accidents.
  • Currently sleeps in a crate with her brother at night but adores a cuddle in bed.
  • Good with kids of all ages, though can be spooked by loud noises.
  • Has some separation anxiety but is adjusting well.
