Winston is an intelligent and playful dachshund who combines independence with affection. His bright, curious nature makes him a delightful companion, fitting in well with his alongside his dachshund foster brother Ziggy.

Personality Highlights

Winston is very loving and affectionate to all and responds instantly to his name and the and most commands, especially when treats are involved! He is a champion walker – happily trotting along without pulling on the lead. He loves running around the house and playing with his foster brother, curling up on a pillow on the couch, or snuggling up under blankets.

House Trained: fully house trained, goes reliably using the yard during daytime hours and has no trouble making it through the night.

- Lead Skills: Champion walker with no pulling

- He has a love hate relationship with car rides but has shown great improvements. He makes a mad dash for the car whenever he hears the keys, and shows some anxiety at the start, but is settling more quickly.

-  Social Skills: Making steady progress in meeting new people. Initially cautious but warms up with patience and treats.

- He would be best suited in a house with children 12 plus who respect puppies need their space too.
