Meet Bailey – aka Mr. Perfect!

Is there such a thing as the perfect dachshund? One who’s sweet with everyone he meets and doesn’t bark your ear off? We’re here to tell you—yes, there is. And his name is Bailey.

Bailey is a 2-year-old bundle of love wrapped in a handsome, sausage-shaped body. Though still young, he has a gentle, wise soul that shines through in everything he does. He’s playful—especially with fellow dachshunds—but also incredibly relaxed. His favorite place in the world? Curled up right next to (or on top of!) you on the couch. He’s not just a lap dog—he’s a chest-and-neck cuddler who lives for human connection.

He’s fantastic on leash, loves an off-leash run and his recall is impressive. He greets every dog—big or small—with a wag, happily soaks up pats from strangers and is gentle and welcoming around children. He’s not fussy with food, sleeps soundly through the night and is nearly fully toilet trained (just the occasional oops).

Bailey is desexed, used to canine company, and truly thrives in a home full of love—both human and doggo.

So, what’s the catch? Bailey isn’t a fan of being left alone. He may howl if left by himself for too long, so a home where someone is around most of the time—or where he has other dogs for company—would be ideal. 

The good news? He’s already improving thanks to the companionship of his dachshund friends, next thing is he loves his human companionship so much he prefers to sleep in the big bed with his human rather than his own doggy bed.
