Meet Ruby: Your Loving, Social Little Shadow! 💕

Hi, I’m Ruby!

I’m a gorgeous young Westiepoo with a big personality, a loving heart and a serious appreciation for pats, adventures and snuggles!

I’m a very social little girl who loves meeting new people and making friends with other dogs. Whether we’re out exploring, enjoying a walk in the park or relaxing at home, I’m happiest when I’m included as part of the family.

I love my humans and will happily follow you around looking for pats and attention. I’m also quite independent and can settle happily on my own, so I don’t need someone entertaining me every minute of the day.

🐾 People: I absolutely love people and enjoy meeting new friends, both at home and out and about.🐾 Dogs: I’m very social with other dogs and enjoy having canine friends around. I’ve been happily living with my dachshund foster siblings, although I’m also perfectly capable of being an only dog.🐾 Kids: I grew up with a three-year-old and absolutely love children. I’ve even happily participated in dress-up sessions!

🐾 Exercise: I love walks, playtime, running around and getting out and about. I’d enjoy a family who likes to keep me active and involved in different adventures.🐾 Walking: I can get a little excited at the beginning of a walk and pull slightly, but I’m working on my lead skills. On a long lead, I’m very responsive to recall.

🐾 House training: I’m well on my way to being fully house trained. I just need regular opportunities to get outside. I can still have the occasional overnight accident, but I understand puppy pads and use them when needed.🐾 Sleeping: I’m very adaptable! I can happily settle on the couch or in an open crate by myself, but if you invite me into bed for some snuggles, I certainly won’t complain! 🐾 Food: I can be a little protective of high-value food around other dogs, so I’m best fed separately when something particularly delicious is on the menu. I have no food aggression towards people.🐾 Toys: I’m a great toy sharer and happily play with other dogs without fuss.🐾 At home: I may bark when I see people outside the house, but I’m friendly and social once introduced.

I’m looking for a family who will include me in their lives and give me plenty of opportunities for exercise, enrichment and adventure.

A secure yard would be wonderful, but it isn’t essential if my family is committed to giving me plenty of walks, outdoor time and activities.Most importantly, I want people who will love me, spend time with me and let me be part of the family.
