About Charlie

Charlie is the most caring, energetic little guy who loves playing with his sister and foster brother. He’s quite independent but also loves curling up under the blankets on the couch or in bed for a nap. Like most Dachshunds, Charlie will happily follow you from room to room, just in case treats might be involved.

Dash is a quiet, independent little lady who enjoys playing with her brother before settling in for cuddles on the couch during movie time. She’s incredibly affectionate and loves waking you up each morning with gentle kisses.

Personality Highlights

Charlie loves playing with his toys and is such a sweet little boy. He never misses an opportunity for a cuddle and will happily snuggle up beside you whenever he can. He’s also very food orientated, so treats are definitely the way to his heart.

Dash is very easy to keep happy. She loves snuggling up on the couch, soaking up pats and simply being close to her people.

Current Training Progress

·       House Training: Charlie is well on his way to being fully house trained. He confidently uses puppy pads during the day while we’re at work and happily goes outside once he has free access to the backyard. Dash is more confident using puppy pads as well - although we suspect she just prefers staying warm and dry instead of venturing out into the cold or rain.

  • Lead Skills: Both dogs are still a work in progress on the lead, as they get very excited when out and about.

·       Social Skills: Charlie can be a little cautious at first but warms up quickly once he feels comfortable. Dash takes a bit longer to settle and prefers dogs to respect her personal space. If another dog gets too close too quickly, she’ll let them know with a small growl.

Daily Care

·       Diet: Thrives on Black Hawk Chicken and Rice 

  • Exercise: Enjoys active playtime and regular walks
  • Sleep: Settles well through the night when sleeping with family

·       Behaviour: No food or toy aggression, shares well with other dogs

Both dogs would flourish in a home that offers:
