Major is a stunning looking young dachshund who is incredibly active, he’s very loveable and without a doubt he is very smart and wanting please his human.
He loves his daily beach walks and is everything anyone could ever ask for in a dog.
He has bonded very well with the foster carer’s female dachshund and always seeks her out to cuddle up with.
In contrast to other dogs, Major has not shown any sign of aggression of any kind (whether that be food / resource guarding or otherwise). He has never snarled, growled or bared his teeth. We’ve been able to remove a piece of plastic (off a chew toy) from the back of his mouth and not so much as a grumble.
The only qualification is lead/leash reactivity but he’s already shown improvement and will continue to do so if training and guidance is provided.
Major is a young very friendly dog. Gets on well with most dogs. Loves his walk and the beach. Major loves people can bark at first instance, but you just say his name and he is your friend.
Great with kids, loves toys, loves his food. Likes to curl up on your lap on lounge for a snooze. Happy to sleep in bed with you or happy to share a bed with another furry four-legged friend.
Will sleep all night.Major is used to a doggy door, goes out to toilet 99% of the time. He loves to chase a a small ball.
Would suit a home with company, either a human or another dog. If in a single dog household, separation anxiety will be problematic unless his human(s) are home ALL the time.
Desexed, microchipped, C5 and Pro Heart annual vaccinations, Bravecto and worming (3 monthly) and fully vet checked as per our Policy.
