Marty is a sensitive boy who wants nothing more than to find a home where he can give his new family lots of kisses and cuddles 

Marty is best suited to a calm home with at least one other small dog as big dogs make him overwhelmed. He is also best suited to a home with no kids as they can be a bit much. 

He is crate trained, toilet trained and currently uses a doggy door at his foster families house with speed. 

Marty enjoys sleeping on his parent’s bed under the covers like a typical dachshund or in his crate with his sibling or alone. 

He loves basking out in the sun, running around in the garden, playing with his toys and taking regular naps. 

He is wary of new males and can bark when he isn’t use to you. So a new male in the household will take time. His new parents will need to take the time to let him settle into a new routine as the first few days/weeks can feel a bit anxious for him. 

He will need continued training on a lead to build his confidence but once he gets going and has his mate with him he walks well.
