Hi, I’m Otto—and I’m a soft-hearted, sensitive little guy who’s just looking for a calm, loving place to call home. I’m happiest when life is nice and quiet, with a routine I can count on, and my favourite humans close by.

I’m not really built for busy households or lots of noise. While I’ve been gentle with a calm little human before, I think I’d feel safest and most relaxed in a peaceful, adult home where things are a bit more predictable.

I’m what you’d call a “velcro” dachshund—I love being near my people. I don’t need toys or constant chaos. Honestly, I’m happiest just being around you.

If you’re outside doing jobs, I’ll happily find a sunny spot nearby and keep you company, watching the world go by. I like to be included in your day, even if I’m just quietly supervising.

I’ve got lovely manners too (if I do say so myself). I come when I’m called every time, I sit nicely for my meals and treats, and I don’t make a fuss. I’m not much of a barker either—only if someone new comes to the house, just to let you know. Otherwise, I’m a peaceful little companion.

I get along well with other dogs, even the bigger ones like Kelpies—but truth be told, I’m much more interested in my humans.

I’d be happy as your one-and-only, but would prefer a home with a calm, gentle dog who doesn’t expect too much playtime. I do enjoy having quiet company when my people are out.

I’m not sure how I feel about cats yet, but I don’t chase birds or other animals—I’m a relaxed kind of guy.
