Moose is a gorgeous silky wire-haired Dachshund with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This handsome little guy is currently looking for his forever home where he can share his endless cuddles, hilarious zoomies, and lovable nature.

Moose is a true cuddle expert who believes laps were made just for him. At bedtime, don't be surprised if he gradually takes over your entire bed—he considers himself an excellent sleeping companion! He absolutely loves food and will happily remind you when it's mealtime, snack time, or any time in between.

When he's not snuggled up beside you, Moose can often be found racing around the yard doing his famous zoomies or playing with the hose and splashing in the water. He also loves car rides and is always keen to jump in the car and head off on an adventure with his humans.

Moose gets along well with children, cats and other dogs, making him a wonderful addition to many family environments. His friendly and social nature means he enjoys being part of the household and sharing life with both people and furry friends alike.

Chewy is a quick learner who responds instantly to his name and the "come" command, especially when treats are involved! While he can be independent and enjoys exploring the yard on his own, he also loves snuggling on the couch and sleeping in bed with his humans. He's particularly fond of playtime, though he needs durable toys due to his enthusiastic chewing habits.

Current Training Progress

·       House Training: Well on his way to being fully house trained, reliably using the yard during daytime hours. Still needs some support with nighttime routines, and when he is very stressed or anxious.

  • Lead Skills: Enjoys walks and car rides but is working on reducing pulling during walks due to his excitement.

·       Social Skills: Very social and happy to meet new people and small dogs, does like to put on a tough guy act for bigger dogs.

Daily Care

·       Diet: Thrives on Leaps & Bounds Chicken & Rice Small Breed Dog Food

  • Exercise: Enjoys active playtime and regular walks
  • Sleep: Settles well through the night when sleeping with family
  • Behaviour: No food or toy aggression shares well with other dogs, Moose has a sweet, affectionate disposition and quickly wins over everyone he meets. He loves being the centre of attention and thrives on human companionship.
