I’m Paige, a bon fide sweetheart with a gentle nature and a heart full of love. Since coming into foster care, I’ve discovered just how wonderful it is to be part of a family, and I’ve bonded very quickly with my foster family – humans and animals. It seems I was just waiting for someone to love me.

I get along beautifully with other small dogs and cats and enjoy playing with toys and joining in whatever fun is happening. Like most Dachshunds, I’m curious about everything and like to know exactly what everyone is doing—quality control is a very important sausage dog responsibility!

My absolute favourite thing, though, is cuddles. If you sit down, there’s a very good chance I’ll be in your lap before you know it. I love being close to my people and will happily curl up beside you for a nap, a movie, or simply because you're there.

When I’m not busy collecting cuddles, I enjoy stretching out in the sunshine on the deck and watching the world go by. Life’s simple pleasures are definitely my style.

I haven’t had a lot of training yet, but I’m a smart little girl and highly food motivated, which means I’m very willing to learn—especially if treats are involved! I can be a little timid at times and startle easily, so I’m looking for a calm, gentle home where I can continue building my confidence. Loud voices or harsh corrections frighten me, but patience, kindness, and reassurance help me blossom.
