Meet Stella, a bright and spirited little dachshund with plenty of personality. She’s an intelligent girl who forms a strong bond with her person and absolutely loves one-on- one attention.

Stella would do best as the only pet in the home, where she can enjoy all the love and attention to herself. She thrives in a calm environment and would be happiest with someone who is home most of the day to share life’s little moments with her.

She responds instantly to her name and enjoys being part of whatever her human is doing. Stella also loves car rides, happily hops in for an adventure, and enjoys exploring the world around her.

In the yard, Stella is curious and busy, happily investigating every inch with classic dachshund determination. After her adventures, she’s more than content to snuggle up on the couch or curl into her cozy bed for a well-earned rest.

Current Training Progress

House Training:

• Reliably uses the yard during the day and evening

• Confidently uses the doggy door

Daily Care

Diet:

Stella enjoys her food and would benefit from a low-fat, high-protein diet with dry kibble to help maintain a healthy weight. She especially loves the occasional tiny carrot as a treat.

Exercise:

Enjoys playtime in the yard and regular walks. She is comfortable on the lead, although she can get enthusiastic and may pull a little while walking.

Sleep:

Settles well at night when sleeping in her own bed.

Behaviour Notes:

Stella has shown food, toy, cat and dog aggression, which is why she needs to be the only pet in the household.
